THE Anthony Seddon Fund Centre in Ashton-under-Lyne opened its doors to the community on Saturday, July 12, for its 2025 open day, showcasing the charity’s ongoing work supporting mental health and suicide prevention across Tameside.
Held at the centre on George Street, the free event featured a variety of activities for all ages, including meditation sound baths, guitar taster sessions, arts and crafts, a kids’ zone, tombola, table-top stalls, refreshments, and guided tours of the centre.
Visitors also had the chance to learn about volunteering opportunities and the services available.
The charity was founded in 2014 by Donna Thomas and Brian Seddon following the loss of their son Anthony.
Since then, it has grown from a small market stall into a well-established hub providing non-judgmental support, peer-led groups, holistic therapies, and a safe space for those facing mental health challenges.
