THE popular Street Fest will be returning to Armentieres Square in Stalybridge this Friday (July 11).
It will be the fourth instalment of the early-evening and family-friendly street food and drink market of the year.
The events in March, April and May drew the crowds with the perfect Friday night combination of food, live music and entertainment.
Residents and visitors alike are eagerly awaiting its return, as the June edition did not take place because it clashed with Whit Friday celebrations.
It’s set to be another warm occasion, with temperatures forecast to be as high as 29 degrees Celsius during the event this week.
There will be added extras this month of an indoor Artisan Market in Stalybridge Civic Hall, and a Summer Fair at The Lock (formerly Phoenix City) nearby.
Phantasmagoria, whose magical travel emporium is based in Ashton-under-Lyne, will also be providing family activities. The team will be bringing summer street theatre acts and colourful arts and crafts workshops, as well as their little shop of curiosities.

Young musicians from Tameside Music Service will also be performing to keep everyone entertained.
If you cannot make this Friday, Street Fest will be back on August 8 and September 12.
