A SPORTS club in a Tameside village is hoping to brew up support in aid of a charitable cause.
Broadbottom Cricket Club will be raising vital funds for The Christie Charity by holding a coffee morning.
The club on Mottram Road is inviting the local community to come along on Saturday, July 5.
Breakfast rolls will be being served from 10am, while there will be homemade cakes and a raffle featuring a variety of prizes.
People can also stay for the cricket at 1pm, when the bar will be open, as Broadbottom’s first team take on Hazel Grove in the Derbyshire and Cheshire Cricket League Division One.
All proceeds will go to The Christie Charity – which supports the work of the hospital which provides cancer services.
The coffee morning was originally due to take place earlier this month but was postponed due to the weather forecast.
Everyone is welcome to attend and help make a difference.
