A DENTON primary school has raised more than £2000 for charity after pupils, staff and parents joined forces for a special walking challenge.
On Monday, April 28, Dane Bank Primary School took part in the “Walk Around the World” event, organised in support of the Hits Radio Cash for Kids Appeal.
The entire school community, from teachers and children to enthusiastic parent volunteers, spent a sunny afternoon completing laps of the school grounds and nearby area.
Cheered on by residents, the children embraced the walk, knowing their efforts were helping children across Greater Manchester.
The strong turnout helped the school raise just over £2000 – a figure they were proud to announce during a celebratory visit from the Cash for Kids team.
