SPECSAVERS Opticians in Ashton-under-Lyne has marked a significant milestone for a group of fundraisers in Tameside
Honouring the 40th anniversary of Hyde Fundraisers, a dedicated voluntary group, the business has made a generous donation towards the group’s efforts in supporting various charities, including BBC Children in Need.
The celebration was enhanced by an eye-catching display featuring characters such as the iconic robot dog K-9, the latest incarnation of Batman portrayed by Robert Pattinson, Doctor Strange, and the formidable Emperor from Star Wars.
The display, which has captured the imagination of locals, will conclude on Saturday, March 29 at 1pm.
Between 11am and 1pm, enthusiasts will have the opportunity to meet Davros, the creator of the infamous Daleks.
The Dalek will remain in the town and soon relocate to the library, ahead of Ashton’s Sci-Fi Day on July.
