HOSPITALITY businesses in Tameside can gain access to wellbeing support thanks to the GM Business Growth Hub.
The hub is hosting a fully funded workshop on Tuesday, March 4, at Fire Up Rochdale, to give business owners the tools to reduce the stress of running a hospitality business and recognise the signs of burnout in time to take a timeout.

Attendees will also have the chance to try different stress reducing techniques like art therapy and how to become more self-aware.
There will be a presentation by renowned chef Mary-Ellen McTague, soon to open her new restaurant Pip at the Treehouse Hotel in central Manchester.
Mary-Ellen will share her personal journey, highlighting the difficulties she has faced in the hospitality sector and the proactive steps she has taken to make staff wellbeing a core focus of her business.
She said: “Wellbeing for both me and my team means a better work environment and better business overall.
“My journey has shown me the value of this, and I am happy to share my experiences so that others can avoid the same problems.
“The wellbeing support from GM Business Growth Hub will help hospitality business owners to avoid burnout and work on their own wellbeing.”
This free event is ideal for anyone running a business in the hospitality sector, including restaurant and café owners, hotel managers, catering entrepreneurs, suppliers and other professionals who want to create a healthier, more sustainable approach to work.
Attendees will discover practical tools, inspiring stories, and hands-on workshops to help in prioritising wellbeing.
Yvonne Sampson, Head of Enterprise at GM Business Growth Hub, said: “The hospitality sector is a vital one for Greater Manchester. We’re known for our amazing culture and nightlife. But it’s under a lot of pressure at the moment.
“Owning and working in a hospitality business can be stressful and this workshop will provide knowledge and the tools to improve their wellbeing. This leads to better business decisions and more productive team members.
“This means more successful and growing businesses, and that is something the GM Business Growth works for at all times.”
