Council seeks feedback on adult social care services

TAMESIDE Council is urging residents supported by its adult social care service to share their experiences.

The authority says some people who access long-term support may be chosen at random to fill out a national feedback survey.

All councils in England who provide adult social care services must conduct an annual survey.

From Monday, January 27, the Adult Social Care Survey (ASCS) will be sent out in the post along with a free return envelope.

Tameside Council says the completely anonymous survey helps services to look at where they can improve, as well as encouraging transparency and accountability.

“We are listening and the feedback we get really does shape our services,” said Councillor John Taylor, Executive Member for Adult Social Care.

“It’s so important that people take the time to respond to this survey, so we know if our services are helping them to live a good life and where we can improve. Thank you to everyone who takes part.”

People have until Friday, February 14, to complete the survey – which comes with a letter that includes contact details for support.
