A NEW monthly social and a cabaret evening are among the activities planned to help raise funds for a local homelessness charity.
Emmaus Mossley supports people who have experienced homelessness by providing them with a home, companionship, tailored support and work opportunities.
The charity has announced dates for upcoming events including the launch of The Social Studio, the rescheduled Viva Las Emmaus Cabaret and the Emmaus Spring Fayre.

Launching in February, The Studio Social is a new monthly social event which will be hosted at Emmaus Mossley on the first Thursday evening of every month. Each one will revolve around a different hands-on activity, bringing people together to try something new and improve their wellbeing.
For one night only, Emmaus Mossley will be transformed for a special cabaret show with a range of music, entertainment, food and mocktails on Saturday, March 1, from 7pm. All proceeds from the Viva Las Emmaus Cabaret will go towards refurbishing the charity’s communal kitchen and dining room.
Then on Saturday, March 22, the Emmaus Spring Fayre will be a fun-filled day for charity shoppers and treasure hunters of all ages from 10am to 4pm. The charity’s Secondhand Superstore, in Longlands Mill, will be stocked up with seasonal items, fresh displays and sale items – alongside entertainment and refreshments.
“Bringing people together in support of our charity, and each other, is an important part of the Emmaus Mossley ethos,” said Hazel Hodkinson, Retail Manager at Emmaus Mossley.
“We’re very excited to announce the dates of our upcoming charity events and look forward to welcoming friends, supporters and those new to Emmaus. Be sure to add these dates to your diary and we hope you’re able to attend to give your support.”
