Enjoy a Christmas hunt in Mossley Park

THE festive experience for Mossley folk is set to be enhanced by a new and unique event this year.

Anthony Barton Independent Family Funeral Service organises various hunts throughout the year and Christmas is no exception.

After the fun of Easter, summer and Halloween, the local funeral director is hosting a Christmas Lit Trail, where you can discover baubles and present them to Santa in exchange for a special Christmas gift.

Anthony, whose funeral home is based on Stamford Street, told The Correspondent: “I usually enjoy playing ‘hide and seek’ with the children of Mossley and Carrbrook but, this time, the fun will take place in a single location.

“This event is completely free, and we will be providing complimentary mulled wine, hot chocolate and chocolates. It will take place outdoors, so please dress warmly.

“If you have a flashlight app on your mobile phone, it will help you find the baubles.”

It’s taking place on Friday, December 20, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm – weather permitting – near the Mossley War Memorial in Mossley Park – close to the former Town Hall.
