A FESTIVAL that organisers say will be “the talk of Tameside” is coming to Stalybridge next year.
The local music scene has a new event to look forward to that promises to set pulses racing, whilst supporting a cancer charity.
‘StalyFest’ will be held at Stalybridge Celtic Football Club’s Bower Fold home over two days in May 2025.
The festival will kick off on Friday, May 9, with a club-style DJ event.
“The line-up for the night is already in place and has various household names from the dance scene,” said organisers.
“The night should have an incredible vibe and certainly bring something new right to the heart of Tameside.”
A more traditional music festival will follow on Saturday, May 10, with an afternoon and evening of live music to suit all tastes.
“The line-up is currently being finalised but StalyFest is confident that the artists that have already been signed up will ensure that the festival will be the talk of Tameside over the coming months,” organisers added.
The festival will be led by S1 Event Solutions Ltd, who organise and promote the successful Made in Manchester festivals.
“We were so excited to be invited to work on this project to bring something fresh to Tameside,” said Rob Brierley, from the company.
“Being a local lad myself, I jumped at the opportunity and we very much hope that StalyFest 2025 will be the first of a series of annual festivals.”
The event’s charity partner will be The Christie – which raises money for a range of projects and initiatives to support cancer patients across the North West.
Paul Bowden, Stalybridge Celtic’s Finance and Operations Director, said: “Virtually everyone in the region will know someone who has relied on the amazing Christie hospital at a time of need, so we are excited to name The Christie Charity as our partner for our first festival.
“We will be able to give the charity plenty of opportunities to share their profile alongside the StalyFest brand and raise all important funds at the same time.”
There are also several commercial sponsorship opportunities available and more information can be obtained by emailing the club’s Commercial Director Steve Dewsnip at steve.dewsnip@stalycelticfc.co.uk
Tickets for StalyFest will be available at the end of November at stalyfest.co.uk and the main line-up for the festival will be released over the next few weeks.
