A LOCAL family business is holding a special event this weekend to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
Adamsons, which specialises in home transformations, is inviting the local community to its revamped Dukinfield showroom to help mark the milestone.
The celebration on Saturday, October 12, from 10.30am to 4pm at the showroom on Outram Road will include expert talks from industry professionals on current home design trends, cooking demonstrations, showroom tours and live entertainment.

Anyone interested in attending is asked to email eve.davitt@adamsons.co.uk in advance.
The company was first established in 1984 by Colin and Susan Moors in their family home and, from humble beginnings, has grown into a renowned name in home renovations.
By 1990, Adamsons had outgrown its initial set-up and constructed its own head office in Dukinfield – which was followed by the opening of a showroom a year later to showcase its new interior service.
Completing over 6,000 projects, the firm now employs 20 people and is a second-generation family business, led by Colin and Susan’s daughter Rachel Moors.
“When my parents started Adamsons back in 1984, they set out with a vision to deliver construction services that offered excellent customer service,” Rachel explained.
“That vision quickly resonated with our customers and, by the early ‘90s, we had grown into a company capable of handling every aspect of home transformation.
“Reaching 40 years is a testament to the hard work of our team and the trust our clients have placed in us. As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to many more years of serving our community and continuing the legacy my parents began.”
The company designs, plans and builds extensions, kitchens, bathrooms and conversions for homeowners across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, and has recently undergone a transformation of its own by unveiling a brand new identity.
