A MASSIVE uplift in results has left staff at Denton Community College ecstatic.
The Taylor Lane school may stand out as one of the most improved in the country following an 18 per cent increase in pupils securing a strong pass in English and Maths.
Outstanding performances included Lily Aldred, who secured six grade nines, one Distinction and two grade eights.
Hadi Qaiser achieved one grade nine, six grade eights, two grade sevens and one grade five.
Overall, 61 per cent of students achieved a pass in both English and Maths, with 44 per cent securing a strong pass in these core subjects.
This achievement is projected to surpass the national average for the first time.
Donald Cumming, acting principal of Denton Community College, expressed his gratitude to the students and staff.
He said: “We are incredibly proud of our students, who have truly earned these results.
“Their commitment and hard work have been rewarded with exceptional outcomes, demonstrating the strong, supportive culture we’ve built at Denton.
“I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff.”

“Your continued support has been crucial in making these achievements possible.”
Denton Community College has been under the guidance and management of Northern Education Trust, through a National Leader of Education contract ahead of its formal conversion to academy status within the Trust.
