A RESCUE dog who currently resides at a Denton rehoming centre took advantage of the sunny weather to head off on a special day out.
Tyson, a six-year-old Lurcher, visited ‘Dream’ – a 20-metre high sculpture by Jaume Plensa in St Helens, Merseyside, that features a girl’s head in a dream-like state.
And Tyson proved to be the perfect day-tripper!
Lisa Eardley, Manager at Dogs Trust Manchester, where Tyson is a resident, said: “Our dogs love going for walks off site and as well as giving them great new experiences, it gives us an insight into them, whether it’s how they settle during a longer car journey or how they respond to new places, all of which is great information we can use to help them find their forever homes.
“Dream is halfway between Liverpool and Manchester, so Tyson met up with some of his four-legged friends from our Merseyside centre and they had a fantastic time together.
“The sculpture is an emblem of hope for what the future may bring, and we hope that the future is bright for all of our dogs.
“We are also pretty certain they dream of being loved and looked after by new forever families, so it is the perfect place for us to take them and have a good time whilst they wait for that day to arrive.”
