A SPORTS-THEMED vinyl mosaic will be unveiled at a Tameside shopping centre during a special launch party.
The event on Saturday, August 10, at Ladysmith Shopping Centre in Ashton-under-Lyne will celebrate the vibrant window masterpiece created by the community.
The centre invited artists of all ages and skills to showcase their artistic talents and love of sports by drawing or painting their favourite sporting item – such as a badminton racket.
They then had to submit a photo of their artwork to be digitally recreated to form part of the special mosaic.
The vinyl will be revealed on the day by Ladysmith’s Centre Manager Ian Pratt, along with a member of staff from Willow Wood Hospice, the centre’s charity partner of the year.
A football freestyler will entertain visitors and there will be workshops in between performances to pick up some skills.
As part of the fun-filled day of art, sports and community spirit from 10am to 3pm, there will also be a sports-inspired face painting makeover.
