Tameside Beer Festival seeks sponsors

YOU’LL soon be able to raise a glass again at this year’s Tameside Beer Festival at Hyde Town Hall.

The pints will be flowing when the popular event, organised by volunteers from Tameside Rotary, returns on September 20 and 21. It will start at midday and close at 11pm on both days.

Last year, the festival moved to the Corporation Street venue due to roof restoration works at Stalybridge Civic Hall, where it has been held in previous years.

The beer festival, a popular fixture on the Tameside event calendar for 12 years now, has gone from strength to strength and raised £7,000 for local good causes in 2023.

There will be over 30 beers, lagers, ciders and wines, as well as a selection of food, snacks and soft drinks available, plus music to keep folk entertained.

Local businesses and organisations can get involved by sponsoring elements of the event. Details can be found at www.tamesidebeerfestival.co.uk

Proceeds from this year’s festival will go to two different charities.

One is Go Dharmic, which works to relieve suffering through serving in disasters, advocating for peace, developing schools and alleviating food poverty.

The other is Our Kids Eyes, which provides activities and events throughout the year to make a positive impact on the lives of Tameside children and their families.
