A SCHOOL in Audenshaw is inviting the local community to enjoy some family fun at its Summer Fair.
Poplar Street Primary will open its doors on Thursday, July 11, from 3.30pm to 5pm, when there will be stalls, games and much more.
It has been organised by the Poplar Street Parents and Friends Association (PFA) – which helps to raise funds for the Ravenwood Drive school.
To help raise funds for the Summer Fair, the PFA held a ‘Break the Rules Day’ recently where pupils could make a donation and choose to wear their own clothes instead of school uniform, have a crazy hair day, wear a hat all day, wear nail varnish or bring a ‘non-standard’ snack.
The event comes before the school – which is part of the Victorious Academies Trust – finishes for the summer holidays on July 26.
