Celebrate summer at Willow Wood Hospice

JOIN  Willow Wood Hospice in their beautiful gardens for a celebration of summer, when they will be holding four specially themed days.

Entry is free and there will be stalls, a plant sale, refreshments, entertainment and lots of family fun on each of the four days.

On Monday 15th July from 5pm to 8pm, they will be celebrating music and entertainment – including singing and dancing.

Flowers and plants will be the focus on Wednesday 17th July, from 5pm to 8pm, when Head Gardener Sophie and her team will be providing useful gardening tips and tours of the garden, while extra plants and garden items will be for sale.

On Friday 19th July from 5pm to 8pm, the theme will be food and drinks – with food tasting, cocktail making and workshops.

Children and families will be celebrated on Sunday 21st July, from 11am to 2pm. Local author Johanne Lee will read ‘Into The Willow Wood’, Hospice mascot Woody will be there, and there will be games, crafts and child-friendly stalls including sweets and fresh fruit and vegetables. There will also be a no-alcohol bar serving milkshakes and fun drinks.

Parking at the Hospice is limited to Blue Badge holders for this event and the surrounding streets are for residents only. Please consider using the Pay and Display car park on Darnton Road, which is 5-minutes’ walk away.
