  1. Absolutely delighted with the ST PETER’S ward result. I have been a Labour voter all my adult life but have now decided that the party is beyond redemption both locally and nationally. Independent is the way to go until there is a newly established party with a social conscience.

    1. Councils should be run by independant not political parties whoes agenda is not for local voters, best of luck

  2. Ged Cooney. You were so sure you would win Godley. Oh dear you got that wrong ????????

  3. Sorry to see Labour win again means if I want anything done might has well whistle into the wind

  4. The best results of night where St Peters and Hyde Godley but those two results still means that the people of Tameside will be getting more of the same .Another good result was Greenbelt Jim loosening but it still means that if the people of Tameside want change they get out to vote.

    1. Yep neither of the Fitzpatrick brothers had a good night.
Even better was Jan Jackson Jims partner losing her seat too.
      A triple result lol.

  5. I have been a Labour voter all my life but didn’t vote Labour this time. As per the Correspondent article re Kenny’s Skips opening a tip in Audenshaw with no planning permission for 5 years right near residents homes – it stinks literally and the dust is palpable and a serious health risk. David McNally who lost his seat this election was Chair of the Speakers Panel for the retrospective planning application which was passed with his support and others who don’t have to live next to a tip with the issues above and the excessive number of skips and Kenny’s vehicles going in and out dumping on the tip!! Also, the Audenshaw Ward although unfortunately remained Labour, The Green Party had an excellent result. Labour Councillors need to actually listen to constituents and actively support them.

  6. Bathiza Fitzpatrick goodbye! You and your genocide supporting cronies – we’re gonna get rid of you

  7. Congratulations and well Done Kaleel Khan for having a local mandate to serve all. I am optemistic and feel you will fight for all. Be cool and be their for all. Best Wishes

  8. I am absolutely delighted to see that cracks are appearing in the labour strangle hold on Tameside. Unfortunately the independent
for whom i voted was not successful, but perhaps next time. I do not profess to anything other than working class, but I will not vote labour in the local elections, until I can see clearly that Tameside Council have totally and completely abandoned their approach of giving preference to Ashton in all things to the detriment of all other towns in the borough.

  9. Well done Kaleel Khan the winner of St Peter’s Ward, Ashton. You will make a difference to our lives.

I am glad David McNally has gone but then again was he ever in the Ward!

Well done you voted for change and you are going to get it!
