A YOUNG Cub Scout from Ashton-under-Lyne has acquired a range of valuable skills on the way to earning a special award.
Luca, a Cub Scout in the 2/1 Hurst Mariner Pack, was presented with his Chief Scout Silver Award by Group Scout Leader Steve Longley.

Paul Revel, his Cub Scout Leader, congratulated Luca on his “great achievement” as his hard work gained 10 activity awards – when he only needed six for the Silver Award – for things such as art, DIY and athletics.
He also completed seven challenge awards plus a leadership role with the Cubs, who he now leaves to move up to Scouts.
Luca said he really enjoyed Cubs and getting lots of badges, which he hopes to repeat in the Scouts.
