WALKING helps to keep you active and, in Tameside, there are plenty of different spots to explore.
Whether it’s long or short, canal side or through country parks, there is a walk for all.
On Sunday, March 3, you can join a Stalybridge Town and Country Walk from 1pm to 4pm.
Described as easy/moderate, Paul Nethercott will lead a three-and-a-half mile walk around Stalybridge Country Park, looking at the local history and other points of interest.
Those wishing to take part should meet at the Staley Way car park on Huddersfield Road (postcode SK15 2QA) shortly before 1pm on the day.
People should bring lunch and drinks and wear sturdy footwear such as walking boots.
Depending on the weather, people may need to bring waterproofs and/or suncream.
