RESIDENTS in the Ashton Hurst area are being encouraged to join in the efforts to keep the community clean and tidy.
Local councillor Dan Costello has organised his latest litter pick, which is taking place on Saturday, February 3, from 10am to 11am.
People wishing to take part are asked to meet at the Hurst Cross monument.
All litter pick equipment will be provided.
Cllr Costello, who represents the Ashton Hurst ward on Tameside Council, said: “After a short break over Christmas and New Year, the monthly Ashton Hurst litter picks are returning. Please come along and help if you can.
“I’m very proud that this series has inspired a local group to start up their own regular sessions – so good to see people making an effort to look after our area.”
