KIND-HEARTED snooker players at a club in Ashton-under-Lyne have chalked up funds for a charity in their town.
Members of Waterloo and Taunton Conservative Club on Oldham Road have been supported by The Anthony Seddon Fund.
With a centre based on George Street, the charity delivers a range of activities to support people’s mental wellbeing.
The conservative club, which was recently recognised with a national award, presented Mark Thornley, a Trustee at the charity, with a cheque for £100.
“We really appreciate the support and all the funds raised towards supporting mental health and wellbeing in our community,” said Mark.
Chairman of Waterloo and Taunton Conservative Club, Leon Tamcken, added: “Thank you to our club snooker lads who have raised these vital funds to support a worthwhile cause, one that has supported so many of our club members.”
