TRAM users are being warned about a network-wide shutdown of the Metrolink and work on the Ashton-under-Lyne line this weekend.
Essential works mean there will be no trams running before 9am on Sunday, January 21.
Before that time, there will be no dedicated bus replacement service or ticket acceptance in place.
Transport for Greater Manchester say trams will begin to leave the depot after 9am but normal service won’t be resumed on most lines until approximately 10.30am.
Display screens on platforms and public announcement systems may also take time to return to normal.
Meanwhile, work will also take place between Ashton-under-Lyne and Piccadilly, which will affect tram services throughout Sunday.
As a result, services to and from Altrincham, Bury and Eccles will operate as far as Piccadilly Gardens only, and a bus replacement service will be available to passengers.
