TWO PEOPLE from the Carrbrook area of Stalybridge remain under investigation after suspected 3D-printed guns and a quantity of ammunition was seized.
Specialist police are believed to have raided a house on Huddersfield Road early on Thursday, November 2 and arrested a man and a woman at the scene.
Both have been released on bail as investigations of what was found take place, with the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit leading the case.
The unit said the arrests were part of an ongoing investigation into ‘3D-printed firearms production’ and after being taken to a police station, the man, 32, and woman, 29, were released on bail with conditions.
A statement said: “Officers from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit carried out a warrant at an address in Greater Manchester as part of an investigation into 3D printed firearms production.
“A 32-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences at their home address in Stalybridge and following searches officers seized a number of suspected 3D printed firearms, ammunition, and other associated equipment.”
