A SERIES of Halloween themed plays will be written, rehearsed and performed at Hyde Festival Theatre in the space of just seven days.
Six plays will be written by youth writers, directed by youth directors and performed by a youth cast on Saturday, November 4, from 7pm at the Corporation Street theatre.
After the success of ‘Play in a Day’ earlier this year, the theatre is looking for passionate youngsters between the ages of 10 and 17 who want to be part of the ‘Seven Day Play’ event.
Katie Wilkins, Chair of the theatre’s Youth Council, said: “We are on the lookout for aspiring young Directors, Writers, and Cast Members to join us for a thrilling theatrical adventure, while raising money all for a great cause – our Youth Council.”
The theatre says it will be a “creative whirlwind that promises to be both challenging and immensely rewarding” and “a unique and exciting opportunity for young talent to shine”.
Anyone who would like to nominate a young person to be part of the workshops and rehearsals can visit www.hydefestivaltheatre.co.uk/whats-on to sign up and check out the commitment required in the schedule for the week.
