MOSSLEY turned into the centre of a ‘criminal whodunnit?’ as it provided the setting for the filming of a new production.
Crews descended on Waggon Road as they shot scenes for upcoming ITV show Ridley using the New Bridge Inn and Palletman & Sons Ltd pallet yard as locations.
The series stars a familiar face in Adrian Dunbar, better known to many in the area as Superintendent Ted Hastings in all six series of BBC Television’s Line of Duty, in the role of Alex Ridley.

The former detective inspector is brought back in as a consultant 18 months after an early retirement due to a nervous breakdown from having to come to terms with the loss of his wife and daughter in a house fire.
Ridley is written and created by Paul Matthew Thompson, one of the lead writers of ITV’s popular detective drama, Vera.
Crews are expected to leave the area on Thursday, September 20.
