MOSSLEY came together as the town marked Whit Friday with its annual walk.
And people were joined by political power as MP Jonathan Reynolds took part, along with Tameside Council’s deputy civic mayor, Cllr Betty Affleck, and members of Mossley Town Council.
Mossley Band and St John’s Band did the honours as the sweet sound of brass music filled the air.
They were joined by churches and Sunday schools of all denominations turned out in a spectacle backed by glorious sun.
Figures of the Virgin Mary were also carried through the streets, while Rose Queens showed off their best.
And there was no shortage of people wanting to watch as crowds gathered in both Top and Bottom Mossley.
