ONE of Tameside and Glossop NHS Integrated Care Foundation Trust’s District Nurse Specialist Practitioners has scooped a top national prize.
Lianne Bailey was recently awarded the Philip Goodeve-Docker Memorial Prize by The Queen’s Nursing Institute.
The award is in recognition of Lianne’s incredible hard work while studying for a District Nursing Specialist Practitioner qualification at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The prize is offered to the top performing student of the District Nursing SPQ programme in every university in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Philip Goodeve-Docker lost his life in April 2013 while attempting to cross the Greenland Ice Sheet, a challenge he was undertaking to raise funds for the QNI.
Philip was posthumously awarded the Queen’s Commendation for Bravery in January 2017.
