STALYBRIDGE Street Fest is turning over a new leaf to mark the start of autumn.
As well as live music and the usual array of delicious food and drink for which it has become famous since its launch last year, the Town of Culture event will be serving up a trio of family-friendly activities that are just the thing for the magical month of October.
Seed to Feed lets you pot and grow your own chilli plant. Learn how to sew your own seasonal pumpkin from material. Or how about getting your hands dirty with our slime-making workshop – certain to be a favourite with the children?
As usual, all the highly popular food and drink stalls that people have come to know so well will be set out around Armentieres Square on the banks of the picturesque Huddersfield Narrow Canal in the heart of Stalybridge’s historic town centre.
There’s certain to be more than a few warmers for a time when the nights are drawing in and the temperatures have started to fall. It all adds up to a package that’s certain to have people spellbound.
“Autumn Tales” – the next Stalybridge Town of Culture Street Fest – takes place on Friday, October 14 (5 to 9pm). For more information visit www.intameside.co.uk
