THE INQUEST into the death of a 16-year-old boy killed in a Stalybridge car crash has been delayed until later in the year.
Shae Marlow died in November 2020 when the Volkswagen Golf he was driving collided with a wall on Wakefield Road.
It is thought the teenager’s vehicle was being followed by police after reports of an attempted burglary at a shop on Ambleside at Ridge Hill.
The car collided with the wall about one mile away at 6.30pm on Tuesday, November 3, a short time after the pursuit started.

Shae, of Stalybridge, was pronounced dead at the scene.
An inquest, at South Manchester Coroner’s Court in Stockport, was scheduled to take place over a week starting on April 25.
However, the family must wait to hear detailed evidence after an adjournment until November was agreed.

A spokesman for the court told The Correspondent: “The case was not heard and adjourned until November 14, 2022.”
Shae’s death sparked an outpouring of grief from friends, with many leaving roadside tributes at the scene.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct opened an investigation into the incident.
And a spokesman confirmed to The Correspondent that it found no officers acted improperly.
They said: “We carried out an independent investigation into the actions of police prior to a fatal collision in Stalybridge on November 3.
“We completed our investigation in July and have provided a copy of our final report to HM Coroner, to assist with the inquest process, and Greater Manchester Police.
“During our investigation we did not find that any officers involved in this tragic incident may have committed a criminal offence or behaved in a manner justifying the bringing of disciplinary proceedings.
“We will publish our findings at the conclusion of the inquest process.
“Our thoughts remain with all those affected.”
