Stylish opening to the season

THERE was a stylish opening to the season at Denton Golf Club’s traditional drive-ins.

Captain Martin Unsworth, lady captain Gaynor Wood and president Terry Pottage arrived in style in a classic Rolls Royce.

The mode of transport has become a tradition and last year the club officials hired a vintage double-decker bus.

The opening-day event, a pairs Stableford, was won by Nick and Warren Jones with 46 points.
