Tameside Captured: looking through your lens

IT may seem as though the weather cannot make its mind up day by day – will it rain, will it blow a gale or will it be what is an increasingly rare dry day?

One thing remains constant though – Tameside’s ability to provide fantastic photographs.

And once again, Correspondent readers did not pass up the opportunity with a series of brilliant pictures.

Malgorzata Tejc – STAR IMAGE

Nature provided this month’s Star Image and a £20 prize as Malgorzata Tejc brilliantly caught this squirrel staring straight down the lens at Stamford Park.

The differing conditions also provided the backdrop with Gary Whittaker providing the rain, Sam Blanchard and Jayne Bradbury a clear day and Gemma Carter night-time above Bottom Mossley.

Kath Bowers and Ian Clarke caught that seemingly increasingly funny yellow object in the sky.

Kevin Rutter and Lesley Hallows showed the tones and colours cast by fallen leaves that makes this time of year seem like a kaleidoscope.
