BLASTS and bangs rocked Mossley AFC and a huge fire broke out – but they could not be happier.
For it saw hundreds of people pack into Emmaus Mossley Seel Park as its traditional event returned to the calendar.
After the Covid-19 pandemic brought a halt to public gatherings, the appetite to mark Guy Fawkes’ Night was huge.
If the queues of people waiting to pay on the door for the Fireworks and Food Festival were anything to go by, it had been circled on many calendars.
And the Mossley display did not disappoint, with those attending also treated to performances from several acts, including Britain’s Got Talent winner and Jon Courtenay.
Mossley AFC said: “The club has said a big thank you to everyone who attended, the stalls, live acts and volunteers who made the evening so spectacular!”
