Pull on dancing shoes for hospice

PULL on your dancing shoes for a night of entertainment as well as raising money for a good cause at Willow Wood Hospice’s Dinner and Dance.

The party will take place at Best Western Smokies Park Hotel in Oldham on Friday, November 19 with live music from the Andy Powell Swing Band.

Elaine McConnell, event organiser, said: “It’s going to be a fabulous evening, and whether you’re coming as a couple, with a group of friends or using it as your company’s Christmas party, you’ll be sure to have a fantastic time.

“As well as Andy and his eight-piece band we’ll be having one or two surprise guest artists and a delicious three course meal.

“And once the live entertainment finishes there’ll be dancing until the early hours.”

The evening will be hosted by Willow Wood trustee and renowned raconteur Mark Llewellin and well-known personality Jane Hodson.

Tickets cost £45 each and proceeds will go to the hospice, which provides free specialist palliative care for adults with life limiting illnesses.

Elaine said: “We appreciate that the last 18 months or so have been difficult for everyone and we’ve kept the ticket price as low as possible.

“However, we do need to raise funds to ensure we can continue to provide the best possible care for our patients.

“We are looking for corporate sponsors. There are a number of opportunities available, ranging from table sponsorship at £100 to Platinum at £500.

“Alternatively, a company could sponsor part of the evening such as a Prosecco reception, the entertainment or even one of the meal courses.

“Contributions will be acknowledged on our website, at the evening itself and in the programme, and on any advertising and promotion. If you’re interested in being involved email fundraising@willowwood.info
