Wanted posters in Carrbrook area of Stalybridge explained

WANTED posters issued by police in the Carrbrook area of Stalybridge are for a man being tracked in connection with an attempted murder in Derbyshire.

Officers visited shops this morning (Wednesday, October 27) and left images of Johnny Joyce in windows, on shutters and handed them to people as they hunt the 28-year-old.

Now The Correspondent has learned the Greater Manchester Police staff were acting on behalf of the neighbouring Derbyshire force.

Joyce, who is believed to have connections in the area is wanted in relation with a domestic abuse incident, as well as an attempted murder in Glossop.

And a spokesman for Derbyshire Police outlined why GMP officers are involved.

They said: “It seems that Johnny Joyce is indeed wanted in Derbyshire.

“This is for attempted murder and a separate DA incident.

“The attempted murder took place on September 21 in Glossop at around 1.30am.

“A 22 year-old man received multiple stab wounds and required hospital treatment.

“Johnny, who is 28-years-old, is still outstanding and GMP are assisting with our enquiries to locate him.”
