THERE will be a mouth-watering display of information on show at Mossley Heritage Centre open days on Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18.
The Heritage Open days (11am-4pm) will follow the national theme of ‘Edible Mossley’ so visitors to the centre can find out about the many food shops there have been in Mossley over the decades.
A digital display will provide more examples and a pamphlet will contain details of a self-guided walk around the area pointing to sites of ‘edible’ interest as well as a few wartime recipes.
There will even be biscuits on offer made from those very same recipes.
The Heritage Centre also contains many artefacts from the wool and cotton industry as well as a kitchen, living, laundry and school area, church memorabilia and much more. Visit it in the corner of the Emmaus building on Queen Street, Mossley)
