PUPILS at a Mossley primary school were left ecstatic after their fundraising drive exceeded all expectations.
Milton St John’s was awash with bunny ears as they handed over a cheque for £610 to Willow Wood Hospice.Ears were on sale for £3 per pair but generosity from parents meant they raised more than the maximum amount.
Milton St John’s decided to sell the ears after children were allowed back into school and in place of charity events that were cancelled because of Covid-19.
And in the last week of school before Easter, classrooms were filled with them as the children were allowed to wear them.
Willow Wood mascot Woody the Bear joined Milton St John’s for the cheque handover and the pupils joined in the fun with their ears.
