A STAFF member at Mossley Hollins High School has tested positive for Covid-19.
In a letter to parents and carers, headteacher Mr Stuart Marshall announced the confirmed case.
He wrote: “We have been made aware today (Tuesday, September 15) that a member of staff has positive for Covid-19. The member of staff was last in school on Friday, September 11.
“You will be aware that the school has a thorough and comprehensive risk assessment in place which details the measures the school has taken to protect students and staff, such as enhanced cleaning, the wearing of face masks and social distancing precautions.
“The school has taken Public Health advice that this positive test does not affect the students and staff in this school.
“In line with national guidance the member of staff is now self-isolating.
