CARRBROOK couple Wayne and Jen Williams are helping raise funds for Charlie Maley’s new motorised wheelchair.
Wayne, who runs sports coaching business Inspire, cycled the distance between London and Paris – 462km/287miles over a seven-day period between May 18 and 24.He used his road bike and was out and about each day pedalling what equated to more than 10 marathons.
And this week Jen will be climbing the stairs at their home 1,474 times which equates to scaling the national three peaks – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.
Wayne, who coaches in local schools and well as being a personal trainer, added they have already raised more than £2,000.
“As I am a local business involved in sport, I wanted to do anything I can to help give Charlie opportunities he would not otherwise have without the new wheelchair,” explained Wayne.
“We would be so, so grateful if you could donate to this, and help us make Charlie’s dreams of accompanying his family on off road community walks come true.”
