AN ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE housing association is officially one of the best in the country for tenant satisfaction.
For 92 per cent of those with Ashton Pioneer Homes said they were happy, some 20 per cent higher than the national average of 71.8 per cent.

The group carried out the annual survey of people living in its homes – called Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) – for the Regulator of Social Housing.
And the outcome makes it one of the highest out of all housing associations and local authorities in the country that have to submit results.
Ashton Pioneer Homes was also ranked in the top quartile for all 12 tenant-focused perception questions and higher than the national average in each.
A key part of the high score is the quality – 90 per cent satisfied – and speed – 93 per cent – at which it carries out home repairs for tenants.
Other leading scores included 92 per cent of people saying they were kept informed, 89 per cent saying they felt safe in their home and 95 per cent saying it treats them fairly and with respect.
Peter Marland, chief executive of Ashton Pioneer Homes, said: “An overall satisfaction score of 91 per cent is a huge endorsement from our residents and one that means a great deal to everyone at Ashton Pioneer Homes.
“Most of our residents live in high rise accommodation, so this result is particularly meaningful.
“It reflects the importance of feeling safe at home, being listened to and knowing that someone will respond when help is needed.
“I want to thank our colleagues, who demonstrate our HEART values every day where they are honest, promote equality, are approachable, respectful and we work together.
“Whether they are supporting someone in their home, caring for our buildings or bringing neighbours together, their commitment makes a real difference.
“I am immensely proud of the care they show and the relationships they have built with residents.”
