A TATTOO studio in Ashton-under-Lyne is holding a charity day in memory of a mother who died last year following a four-year battle with terminal bowel cancer.
Hail Yourself Tattoo, co-owned by husband and wife team Lorna and Jamie Harris, will welcome customers on Saturday, October 31, to raise money for Marie Curie.

The fundraiser will mark the first anniversary of Lorna’s mum’s death, with the family hoping to give back to the charity that cared for her during the final weeks of her life.
Lorna said her mum had spent time being cared for by an “amazing team” at a Marie Curie hospice, where staff went above and beyond to make an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time more comfortable and manageable.
To honour her mum’s memory, the studio on Fletcher Street will be offering a range of daffodil tattoos, chosen as a nod to the charity’s logo.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to Marie Curie, with a minimum donation of £30 requested for each tattoo. Any additional contributions will also be greatly appreciated.
The charity day will run from 11am, with walk-in’s welcome throughout the day and no appointment needed. The tattoo designs will be a set size.
Lorna and Jamie, who have more than 10 years of tattooing experience, hope the event will raise as much money as possible for the charity.
