Exciting new restaurant tipped for former Ashton TGI Fridays site

WINGSTOP could be opening its first Tameside restaurant, with the popular chicken chain tipped to take over the former TGI Fridays site at Ashton Moss.

Job adverts for a general manager and assistant manager at a Wingstop site on Ashton Moss have fuelled talks that the American-inspired fast-food chain could be moving into the vacant unit.

The former TGI Fridays restaurant closed earlier this year as part of a major restructuring of the business, which saw several branches shut nationwide, and hundreds of staff lose their jobs.

Now, the potential arrival of Wingstop could bring fresh life to the site, with the chain known for its chicken wings, tenders, burgers and signature range of sauces and seasonings.

Wingstop has built a following for its bold flavours and customisable menu, with the brand continuing to expand across the UK.

Work is currently being carried out at the site, but Wingstop has yet to confirm whether it will be opening at Ashton Moss, and no opening date has been announced.
