ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE will once again be home to a bustling artisan market as traders return to the town.
More than 60 will pack into the area for the latest edition of Ashton Artisan Market on Sunday, September 20.
As well as taste sensations, visitors can enjoy live music from Jack Hamilton, free face painting and a free children’s art workshop with Mila, making it a great day out for the whole family.
Organised by award-winning market operator Independent Street, the event will run from 11am until 4pm and will once again showcase a huge variety of makers, bakers, creators, food producers and small independent businesses.
And so far, the response to the events has bowled over those behind it.
Independent Street founder Lisa Cowley said: “We have been absolutely delighted by the response to Ashton Artisan Market since we launched.
The support from the people of Ashton has been fantastic and there is a real buzz around the market.
“This Sunday’s line-up is a brilliant one, with more than 60 independent businesses joining us.
“We have everything from cakes, brownies, pies, cheese and street food to jewellery, candles, homeware, gifts, pet products and much more.
“Our markets are about more than shopping. We want to create an event that brings people into the town centre, gives families something free to enjoy and, most importantly, provides a platform for fantastic independent businesses.
“We’d also like to say a massive thank you to Tameside Council and Tameside Markets for their continued support in helping us bring the market to Ashton.”
