A CLASSIC car show at Steve Pearson Car Sales has raised more than £5,000 for Willow Wood Hospice.
A spectacular collection of vintage and classic cars was brought to the Stalybridge dealership for a day of fundraising on Sunday, August 9.
Enthusiasts turned out to admire everything from vintage Ferraris, Mustangs and BMWs to Ford Capris, Mk2 RS Fords and an American truck.
Getting the forecourt ready was a little like a Cinderella moment. The night before the event, manager Jack moved every single car from the yard, while Numac Stalybridge kindly provided temporary space to house Steve Pearson’s vehicles and make room for the classic cars.

There was plenty more on offer alongside the cars, with visitors able to enjoy refreshments and cakes, a tombola at 50p a spin and a raffle at £2 a ticket.
A Selfridges bag worth £100 was among the prizes, while a bidding station offered the chance to win signed Manchester United merchandise and other items.
The show also brought out some impressive competition, with visitors voting for their favourite cars. Ian’s 1968 vintage blue Mustang took the runner-up prize for best-dressed car, while Mark’s Ford Capri was chosen as the winner by Jack Pearson.
Speaking about the event, Steve – who showed his own Ford Fiesta XR2 – said: “The car show has been an absolutely fantastic success.
“We got some lovely cars, even got a nice, beautiful Ferrari and had lots of support from the local people, who came down and helped us out.
“The sun was shining, which you can’t beat. It was absolutely smashing.”
The family-run dealership, on Acres Lane, has worked closely with Willow Wood Hospice for the past eight years, with Steve a firm believer in supporting the local community.
And for him, success has never been measured solely by the cars sitting on the forecourt. It is about building something with his family, giving back to the community and continuing to do something that still feels like a passion every single day.
