A NEW support group has been launched in Audenshaw to provide a welcoming space for people living with a stoma to meet, talk and support one another.
The Stoma Support Group meets at Ryecroft Hall, on Manchester Road, and is aimed at people who have undergone colostomy surgery and are living, or have previously lived, with a stoma.

Organisers hope the informal sessions will give people an opportunity to chat with others who have shared similar experiences, exchange stories and offer practical and emotional support to one another.
Meetings take place on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 6pm until 7.30pm. The next will be held on September 22, October 27 and November 24.
There will be no December meeting as Ryecroft Hall is closed over Christmas, with the group returning on January 26.
Anyone who feels they could benefit from meeting others with similar experiences is encouraged to attend.
