There were smiles, selfies and plenty of food talk in Denton today as eager fans lined up for the chance to meet one of Britain’s best-known television chefs.
The ever-bubbly Ainsley Harriott paid a visit to Morrisons in Denton on Thursday, August 20, as part of his five-day ‘Where’s Ainsley?’ supermarket tour.
Ainsley was at the store between 10.30am and 12.30pm, with fans turning out to meet the popular television personality, who was on typically energetic form as he chatted with shoppers.
Visitors were able to sample products from his couscous range, pick up recipe ideas and take part in giveaways, with Ainsley Foods goody bags among the prizes on offer.
One lucky shopper was also set to walk away with a £100 Morrisons voucher.
Denton was one of just two Greater Manchester stops on the tour, with Ainsley heading to Bredbury later in the day.
The visit also had a charitable element, with the Ainsley Foods Company donating £3,000 worth of food to charities supported by Morrisons across Greater Manchester.
The Denton appearance formed part of a nine-store tour taking the celebrity chef across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
