A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman’s body was discovered in Mossley.
Emergency services were called to home on Winterford Road on the evening on Tuesday, August 4.
There, the body of a 61-year-old was discovered and a 60-year-old arrested. He has since been bailed pending further inquiries.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson told The Correspondent: “At approximately 5.25pm on Tuesday 4 August, we were called to a concern for welfare at an address on Winterford Road, Mossley.
“Emergency services attended and sadly a woman, aged 61, was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no wider risk to the public.
“A man, aged 60, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has since bailed pending further enquiries.”
