ARTISTS, performers, community groups and creative organisations are being invited to apply for grants of up to £1,500 to help bring new arts and culture projects to life across Tameside.
The funding is aimed at projects that encourage people to come together through creativity while boosting pride in the borough and attracting more visitors.
It’s being provided by Tameside Council through the UK Government’s Economic Development and Regeneration Flexible Grant (ED&RFG) programme.
Successful projects should take place in Tameside and be completed by February 28, 2027.
The council says it is looking to support creative ideas that bring communities together, encourage people to spend more time in town centres and green spaces, and make arts and culture more accessible for local residents. Projects must also be open to everyone and help increase footfall across the borough.
Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Culture, Councillor Leanne Feeley, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for local organisations, artists and community groups to bring their creative ideas to life.
“We know that arts and culture play an important role in making Tameside a vibrant place to live and visit. We encourage anyone with a project that celebrates creativity, brings people together, and helps showcase the best of our borough to get involved and apply.”
Applications are open now, with a deadline of midnight on Sunday, August 16.
Anyone awarded funding will be required to complete a short evaluation after their project has finished, outlining its impact and outcomes.
