A COMMUNITY café designed to bring people together is inviting residents to its second monthly meeting.
Still Waters Café will take place on Wednesday, August 12, from 10am until noon at St John the Baptist Church on Carrhill Road in Mossley, offering a warm and welcoming space for anyone looking to enjoy a brew, a chat and good company.

Although the café was inspired by the need to support people who have experienced bereavement and loss, organisers chose the name Still Waters to reflect its inclusive nature, welcoming anyone who may be feeling lonely, isolated or simply fancies some friendly conversation over a cup of tea.
Organisers say it is a place where people can talk, remember and connect if they wish, but there is no expectation or pressure to discuss personal experiences.
Instead, the focus is on creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where visitors can enjoy refreshments, meet new people and spend time with others in the community.
The café is held on the second Wednesday of every month at St John the Baptist Church, with everyone welcome to attend, whether on their own or with a friend, family member or neighbour.
Refreshments will be available, and organisers are encouraging anyone who would enjoy some companionship or conversation to come along to the August gathering.
