HUNDREDS of residents turned out to enjoy a day of family-friendly fun as Hyde Community Fair brought together local charities, community groups and organisations.
Held at the Market Ground, with activities taking place inside Clarendon Shopping Centre, the event showcased the work of dozens of organisations supporting communities across the borough.
Visitors enjoyed a packed programme of free entertainment throughout the day, including face painting, a popular Lego display, martial arts demonstrations and performances from local dance groups.
The fair also gave residents the opportunity to meet representatives from a wide range of local charities and community organisations, learn more about the services they provide and find out how to get involved.
Among those taking part were Hyde Fundraisers, Tameside’s Little Gems, Blaze Street Dance Academy, Rotary Tameside, Guide Dogs UK, the Tameside Pulmonary Fibrosis Group and Secure Tameside Scouts.
Organised by Tameside Markets, the event aimed to celebrate the contribution made by community groups across the borough.
